De La Espada - 2015
We were asked by De La Espada to develop a design which would allow the construction of very long tables.
Any long solid timber table must include end to end joints in the timber. We developed a joint that would be efficient to machine, simple to assemble, strong and visually interesting.
The leg frame echoes this focus on jointing, using a complex and very accurate CNC machined locking joint, the four main components of the leg are assembled with just two bolts producing a strong, visually light leg.
De La Espada can now build Overton tables up to four and a half meters long.
